Practical Test

The practical test is on average 40 minutes long, in this time you are allowed to make up to 15 minor mistakes, above this figure will result in a fail. If you make 1 dangerous or serious fault, this will result in a fail.

Before the test, you will first complete an eyesight test, and be asked to read a vehicle registration plate on a parked car. You will then be asked  questions about the car, this is called ‘Show and Tell’.

Your driving part of your test will then begin, this will involve:

  • Your general driving ability, the examiner will give you various instructions to follow.
